Beware of Tuition Payment Scams
Scammers may approach you with offers to pay your tuition, usually in exchange for personal information or a "small fee." These offers are fraudulent and can lead to financial loss or identity theft.
Verify Unsolicited Offers: Any offer to pay your tuition should be approached with caution. Verify the legitimacy of such offers through official university channels before proceeding.
Official Payment Channels: Always use the university’s official payment system for your tuition fees. Be wary of requests to use alternative payment methods like wire transfers, gift cards, stolen credit cards or cryptocurrency.
Protect your username/Password: Do not share your username and password with anyone.
The deadlines below include billing, refund periods for withdrawals, and other pertinent dates regarding your student account charges at NJIT. Please see the Registrar’s Office section of our website under Academic Calendars for further information regarding critical dates for each semester.
Critical Deadlines

| July 28, 2025: | Fall Payment Plan Enrollment Begins, ends in September 1, 2025 |
| August 1, 2025: | Fall 2025 United Healthcare waiver site opens. |
| August 27, 2025: | Deadline to pay tuition, fees, room and board. Students must pay in full, set up a payment plan, or be fully covered by financial aid. |
| September 2, 2025: | First day of classes. Late Registration Fee of $100 charged to all students who are registering for their first classes for the semester on or after this date. |
| September 8, 2025: | Last day of add/drop. Last day to drop courses at a 100% reduction of tuition and fees, both full and partial drop of courses. Fees are non-refundable after the 100% drop period. |
| September 9, 2025: | “W” grades posted for withdrawals. |
| September 15, 2025: | Last day to drop courses at a 90% reduction of tuition only, both full and partial drop of courses. No reduction for partial withdrawals after this date. |
| September 29, 2025: | Last day to withdraw from courses at a 50% reduction of tuition only, full withdrawal only. |
| October 7, 2025: | Last day to waive student health insurance. |
| October 20, 2025: | Last day to withdraw from courses at a 25% reduction of tuition only, full withdrawal only. Withdrawal after October 20, 2025 is a 0% reduction of tuition. |
| November 10, 2025: | Last day to withdraw from courses. |
| 1st Week of December: | Winter 2025-26 bills will be available in Highlander Pipeline |
